Hi everyone!
Hi there! I’m Federica, the founder and driving force behind Tuscan Experiences. My journey began on Monte Amiata, the “gentle giant” of southern Tuscany that watches over the stunning Val d’Orcia. Growing up on this extinct volcano, I was surrounded by endless sunsets and developed a deep love for this region. And guess what? This love never faded, even when life took me on a different path.
That path led me to Rome, where I lived for over 20 years. I embraced my jazzy side as a professional musician, singing, composing, and even releasing albums. I explored the world of ethno music with the group Agricantus and taught at a top music school. But Tuscany kept calling me back.
So, at 50 (a bit of a midlife crisis, maybe?), I returned to the rolling hills and cypress-lined roads of my childhood. With a degree in Anthropology (my thesis was on the Val d’Orcia!), an environmental guide certification, and a travel agency director qualification, I was ready for a new adventure.
Now, with Tuscan Experiences, I combine my skills to create unique experiences. I’m here to show you the Tuscany you won’t find in guidebooks – the Tuscany I know and love. From charming towns to hidden trails, let’s discover the magic of this region together!

First and foremost an anthropologist, and also a certified guide, I craft each experience around the rich stories and traditions of this land, going far beyond the usual tourist narrative.
